Jon Wassom

I am a versatile artist whose work is deeply influenced by movement, music, and the human form. My creative journey began in childhood through music, martial arts, gymnastics, and diving, eventually leading me to discover a passion for painting and drawing at 16. Under the mentorship of Zan Burningham, I became the first artist in the Springville Museum of Art’s history to receive the Master’s Award in the All-State High School show two years in a row, and I was published in The Artist’s Magazine after winning the Artist on the Rise competition out of 13,000 entries.

Awarded a full-tuition art scholarship at Utah State University, I studied intensively under renowned professors, including Yale graduate Woody Shepherd, whose teaching shaped my foundation in color theory, stenciling, and experimental processes. Since then, I have worked as a full-time artist in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and now Arizona. Highlights of my career include jurying an exhibition for Touchstone Gallery in D.C., a commissioned collaboration with Lexus Hybrid Living for the Fairmont Hotel, and features in Spaces magazine.

Today, I am based in Tempe, AZ, represented by The Marshall Gallery in Scottsdale and Abend Gallery in Denver. My work has been exhibited in solo shows, collected internationally, and continues to be inspired by anatomy, movement, and spiritual themes. Above all, I am committed to creating art that inspires and gives beauty back to the world. www.wassomgallery.com

Daniel César Calderón Arce

Hailing from the vibrant city of Boston with a rich Puerto Rican heritage, Daniel's lifelong passion for the arts has been a remarkable journey. His artistic odyssey began in middle school and flourished through high school, where he wholeheartedly embraced every available art class. Daniel's exceptional talent led to numerous art awards and certificates, culminating in an art scholarship to the prestigious Art Institute of Boston.  In 2001, a pivotal moment in Daniel's artistic evolution occurred during a college illustration class. A daring challenge from his professor ignited a transformative exploration: "Try a new medium...something outside of your comfort zone." Daniel embraced this challenge wholeheartedly, venturing into the realm of acrylic paint, which has since become his preferred medium for artistic expression.  His early works bore a distinct realism, deeply influenced by his surroundings in Kansas. Here, he uncovered and celebrated the often-overlooked beauty inherent in nature and everyday objects. Fields, trees, cows, horses, and the allure of aging, abandoned trucks strewn across fields all found their place on his canvas, infused with a palpable sense of rustic charm.

Now a resident of Phoenix, Arizona since 2011, Daniel has seamlessly woven the essence of the desert landscape into his art. Nature, in the form of birds, clouds, and cacti, remains a constant muse. His artistic repertoire has expanded to include experimentation with abstract shapes, forms, and innovative techniques.

Daniel Cesar Calderon continues to evolve as an artist, weaving together his diverse influences and experiences into captivating works of art that reflect his ever-expanding creative journey. Experience his art firsthand in the Lobby and suite 104 Visit his instagram @danielcesar1021

Ken Ober

Kenneth Ober , hailing from the charming town of Bisbee, is an artist whose creations delve deep into the mesmerizing interplay of light and color. He employs intricate textures and meticulous, repetitive mark-making techniques that breathe life into his canvases.

His current artistic exploration revolves around the fascinating world of perception and projection, achieved through the ingenious use of abstract visual cues. These elemental marks evoke notions of time and space, inviting viewers to contemplate the mysteries of the universe.

Ober's canvas becomes a symphony of artistry through his skillful utilization of a specialized tool originally designed for pin-striping automobiles. With this tool, he crafts exquisitely fine and precise lines on subtly textured canvases, resulting in intricate compositions that are both mesmerizing and thought-provoking. Each painting is a complex field meticulously shaped by the artist's meditative and relentless repetition of these simple, diminutive lines, often adorned with a rich palette of colors.

Kevin Larsen

My artistic journey spans a wide range of mediums, a reflection of my ever-evolving exploration of self-expression. Drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of human history, I have found my unique voice in what I consider my interpretation of modern cave painting.

In my work, I embrace the essence of this primal art form, reimagining it through the lens of contemporary sensibilities. My canvas is a testament to the vibrant spectrum of human emotions and experiences, translating them into visual narratives that resonate with viewers on a visceral level.

A vibrant pallet of bright primary colors courses through my art, lending it an immediacy and vitality that connects the present to our ancestral past. These colors evoke the raw, unfiltered emotions of our forebears, echoing the sentiments and stories that have been etched into the walls of history's caverns.

Respect and worship for my ancestors are always paramount in my work. I believe that by paying homage to those who came before us, we can better understand our place in the grand tapestry of existence. Through my art, I strive to bridge the gap between past and present, celebrating the wisdom and experiences of those who paved the way.

My artistic journey began a decade ago when I embarked on my first art class with VetArt.org. This transformative experience ignited my passion and set me on a path of artistic self-discovery. Through dedication and exploration, I have honed my craft and found my unique artistic identity.

In essence, my art is a bridge between ancient traditions and contemporary expression, a testament to the enduring power of human creativity and a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit. I invite you to join me on this journey of rediscovery, as we venture into the modern caves of our shared history and create a new dialogue between the past and the present.
